The Halloween Retail Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a retail store specialising in Halloween merchandise. We looking for a skilled leader with a great attitude to come onboard and manage our temporary Halloween store in our Halifax location We are looking for a Full-Time Retail Manager with at least 2 years’ experience who is interested in running their very own pop-up location for the season (August to First week of November).

Applicants who are interested in staying onboard with us after the Halloween season will move on to our holiday division with Glow Gardens, which is an entirely different experience where we host the largest extended indoor holiday lights and family event Halifax has ever seen. You will be both in front and behind the scenes troubleshooting, personnel managing and overall being a core member of that division as well.

Key Responsibilities:

- Oversee daily store operations to ensure efficiency and profitability.
- Open and close the store, adhering to all security and safety procedures.
- Ensure the store is clean, organized, and visually appealing, with festive and seasonal decorations.
- Train, and supervise store staff, including sales associates and cashiers.
- Schedule and manage staff shifts to ensure adequate coverage during peak hours.
- Provide ongoing training and development to ensure high levels of customer service and product knowledge.
- Greet and assist customers, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and returns in a professional and courteous manner.
- Promote a positive shopping experience by maintaining a fun and festive atmosphere.
- Manage inventory levels to ensure adequate stock of popular items.
- Receive, unpack, and organize merchandise.
- Conduct regular inventory checks and reconcile discrepancies.
- Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to safety guidelines and protocols.

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proven experience in retail management, preferably in a seasonal or specialty store.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
- Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency with point-of-sale systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.

Physical Requirements:

- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and move merchandise up to 30 pounds.
- Ability to climb ladders and perform tasks that require physical effort.
- Fast-paced retail environment, especially during the Halloween season.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Seasonal
Contract length: 3.5 months

Pay: $19.00-$23.00 per hour
