As our Audit and Assurance Group continues to expand, we are currently seeking a Manager to join our Professional Standards Department which ensures the quality of the assurance services provided to our clientele. This department consists of professional accountants with strong technical skills having several years of practical experience in the assurance and accounting field.

**Responsibilities**:

- Research accounting and/or assurance related queries from the firm’s professionals
- Stay up to date on all activities of both the accounting and auditing standard-setting bodies (ie. IAASB, AASB, CPA Canada etc.) and evaluate the impacts of any change to the firm's clientele’s
- financial information as well as the firm’s assurance practice
- Stay up to date on all ethics and independence rules for professional accountants
- Participate in the development and presentation of training materials for all professional accountants at the firm in order for them to fulfill their mandatory continuing education requirements;
- Participate in the development and continuously improve upon the firm’s audit strategy and ensure its’ appropriate implementation;
- Perform the quality control review of financial statements/financial information for the assurance department;
- Provide support in the resolution of complex accounting problems;

**Qualifications**:

- CPA auditor designation;
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience as an auditor in professional practice
- Great facility for written and verbal communications in French and English
- Strong technical knowledge of ASPE and IFRS and assurance standards
- Excellent analytical skills;
- Attentiveness to detail
- Team player
- Understands importance of providing high quality services to internal and external clients;
