**Why is this role important**

Our **Bakery Clerks** **are inspired doers. They help provide a positive in-store shopping experience by ensuring the store is always ready with available products that meet customer needs to live life well. Our Clerks inspire our customers through delightful conversation and knowledge of products.

**What you’ll do**
- Provide great customer service, addressing the needs of customers in a timely and effective manner; answer phones and pages promptly and courteously
- Take special orders from customers via phone or in person, manage customer inquiries and feedback, and ensure that orders are completed to customer satisfaction
- Proof & bake daily bakery offerings and ensure that the quality and presentation of bakery offerings meets a high standard
- Ensure Bakery area and displays are clean and well stocked, confirm accuracy of signs and pricing
- Maintain appeal and integrity of product displays by front-facing, checking codes, rotating and removing out-of-date products
- Break down received product and stock and clean shelves, display cases, and bins
- Monitor and prevent spoilage and communicate waste to Bakery Manager
- Maintain backroom and stock in good order, and assist with periodic inventory checks
- Follow proper procedure for prepping, storing, rotating, stocking, and merchandising product
- Comply with established department procedures, health and sanitation, and safe work practices
- Maintain a clean and sanitary working and shopping environment; maintain equipment in accordance with cleanliness and safety standards; immediately report safety hazards to management
- Perform opening, mid, and closing duties as assigned
- Additional related duties as assigned by Bakery Manager

**Experience you bring**

Good news No previous experience is required. We provide you with training to set you up for success

**What you bring**
- Availability to work on Saturdays between the hours of 6:30 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. plus at least one other day, is a requirement of this role
- Desire and ability to be trained to proof & bake
- Ability to move up to 50lbs and in constant mobility for an entire shift
