**Job Function**:
Work with resources to bring about successful completion of large capital and OM&A projects pertaining to the development and/or improvement of owned and leased administrative and service related facilities. Participate in the interface with internal business units/clients to define operational requirements and develop strategies and plans to meet defined goals and objectives and corporate and regulatory requirements. Coordinate the efforts of internal and external resources to assist in the development and implementation of strategies and plans through a defined and measured processes and deliverables through to commissioning and completion.
- Participate in the implementation of major capital facility projects and related multi-disciplinary aspects of architectural, civil, electrical, mechanical, business IT and other related systems and infrastructure.
- Participate in identifying and recommending opportunities for cost, schedule and operational benefits.
- Assist in the development of policies, strategies, standards and plans and building construction for Facilities and related programs of Transmission Stations and Lines, Distribution Stations and Lines, Business IT and other corporate functions.
- Identify, prioritize and implement project management processes. Communicate and develop risk response.
- Participate in the development of schedules consistent with approved project deliverables. Report variances to budgets and schedules and recommend corrective action.
- Work with clients, Business Unit support functions, service providers and approval authorities, including managing individual and group dynamics in line with project objectives and deliverables and communicating and documenting outcomes.
- Work with internal staff to provide project management and consulting services. Work with customers and key stakeholders to reach a mutual agreement to one beneficial to the Company.
- Coordinate work to be performed by others within the project through planning, organizing, assigning and monitoring their work and providing advice, guidance and direction as necessary, which are consistent with project deliverables and the philosophy and goals of continuous quality improvement. Refer issues which have a significant impact on the project or staff assigned to the project to the Supervisor for resolution.
- Assist Supervisor with the development and negotiations of third party contracts, e.g. construction contract, undertake ongoing contract management to ensure adherence to terms and conditions, as requested. Report deficiencies or contraventions, identify corrective actions, implement and where necessary include the input, control or guidance of others.
- Communicate and monitor work to ensure all legislative, e.g. Occupational Health & Safety Act, and corporate health, safety and environmental requirements are understood and adhered. - Participate and provide input and/or support to other Facilities & Real Estate work programs and initiatives, as directed by Supervisor.

**Selection Citeria**:
**Education**:

- Requires a knowledge of engineering and architectural principles in the development of administrative and service related facilities. Requires a knowledge of project management principles to plan, design and implement facility projects.
- Requires a knowledge of computer technology and systems to prepare and report variances to budgets and schedules.
- Requires a good knowledge of English to communicate effectively with others and prepare technical/cost reports.This knowledge is considered to be normally acquired through the completion of 4 years of University training (Grade XII plus 5 years).

**Experience**:

- Requires experience in building science construction related to industrial, commercial and institutional facility projects. Requires experience in the coordination of business case development, approval, implementation and transition to operational status.
