**Position Overview**:
KLS Earthworks & Environmental is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Earthworks General Foreman to join our team. This role will be reporting to the Earthworks Superintendent, will oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of our Earthworks division. This position requires strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of civil construction processes, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Leadership and Management**: Oversee, manage, and mentor a team of foremen, lead hands, their crews, and projects to ensure efficient and productive work on all job sites. Provide clear direction and support to enhance team performance and morale.
- **Project team collaboration**: Plan, organize, and supervise daily activities on-site, ensuring projects are completed on time, within scope, and budget. Work closely with the Superintendent and Project Manager to implement project schedules and milestones.
- **Resource Management**: Support Superintendent by efficiently managing resources, projects, and clients.
- **Communication**: Serve as the primary point of contact between the Supervisor, Clients and Project team. Communicate project updates, challenges, and changes effectively to all parties involved.
- **Problem Solving**: Identify potential project risks and implement solutions proactively. Resolve on-site issues and conflicts quickly and efficiently.
- **Documentation and Reporting**: Maintain accurate records of daily activities, including work progress, equipment usage, safety incidents, and other relevant information. Prepare and submit detailed reports via Heavy Job.

**Qualifications**:

- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a foreman role within the earthworks, civil construction, or environmental sector.
- Proven track record of managing large-scale earthworks and environmental projects successfully.
- Strong knowledge of civil construction practices, including grading, excavation, site preparation, and environmental protection measures.
- Experience with reading and interpreting construction blueprints, drawings, and project specifications.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- Proficiency in using project management software, Microsoft Office Suite, and other relevant tools.
- Experience using Heavy Job is considered an asset.
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license and a clean driving record.

**Working Conditions**:

- Full-time, year-round salaried position
- Busy season typically runs from April to November, with a 6-day work week during this period
- Paid vacation time
