Calgary, Canada Professional Excavators and Construction Full time

**Position Overview**:
Reporting to the Superintendent, the Earthworks Foreman directs the field operations for their crews and equipment on job-sites including safety, scheduling, equipment utilization, equipment maintenance, training personnel, paper flow, and contract administration.

**What You’ll Do**:

- Ability to manage crews and control project costs.
- Ability to look ahead 3-weeks and pro-actively identify issues
- Perform daily costing and utilize resources to maximize profitability
- Complete daily reports, documents and paperwork as required by the company
- Experience digging basements, warehouse or multifamily homes
- Ability and willingness to operate various types of heavy equipment

**Skills Needed**:

- 3+ years of experience in a Foreman/Supervisory position
- 5+ years related experience in the civil construction industry
- Proficient in all aspects of earthwork; mass excavation, detailed excavation, sub-grade prep, material management and gravelling.
- Ability to operate graders is an asset

**Working Conditions**:

- Field environment
- Must be able to interact professionally with all levels of management while simultaneously manage a diversified workload and challenging situations efficiently and effectively
- Regularly sit, stand, walk and talk and listen
- Occasionally lift and move up objects up to 50 pounds.
- Valid Driver’s License (Class 5)
