Account Manager, Companion Animal

Our Account Managers interact primarily face to face with our veterinary clinic customers. They strive to understand their needs and consult to offer the right solutions. They collaborate within a Field Sales Team and play a critical role in supporting our customer centric business model.
**Territory**: Vancouver Island, BC
**Responsibilities**:
- Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager, Central Canada - Companion Animal Business Unit, the Account Manager (AM) is responsible for achieving the annual sales and business objectives within his/her territory by coordinating the development, implementation, and monitoring of the Territory Tactical Plans, ensuring alignment with Regional and National Business unit objectives.
- Understanding the customer needs and communicating accurate and complete product information through on-going calls on targeted companion animal veterinarians with the goal of increasing sales and market penetration in the territory.
- Conducting continuing education & product presentations to clinic teams
- Attending product and sales training and participating in conferences and conventions.
- Optimizing business potential in the territory through effective analysis, planning and implementation. The AM manages territory data through CRM and / or other relevant territory management tools. There are other administrative duties which include expense reports and mandatory trainings.
- Completes his/her tasks in a manner fully consistent with our company's commitment to our Values and Standards, policies, procedures, industry standards and all laws and regulations.
**Qualifications**
- Completed bachelor’s degree, preferred; veterinary technician education is accepted
- Previous Sales experience
- Experience in small animal veterinary practice, such as a veterinary technician is an asset
- Understanding of the Animal Health Industry
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office technology and related software
- Exhibits strong Communication skills (both oral and written)
- Motivated to lead their own specific tasks and responsibilities within a team, prioritizing time and effort towards important deliverables and producing high-quality work.
- Proven strategic thinking, decision making and strategic planning skills
- Successfully networking and forming partnerships with multiple team members within their customer base, as well as within our organization.
- A valid driver’s license is required
- French both written and spoken if located in Quebec. English is required if located in Canadian provinces outside of Quebec.

- Sous la supervision du directeur des ventes régional, Canada central - Unité d'affaires pour animaux de compagnie, le gestionnaire de comptes (GC) est responsable d'atteindre les objectifs annuels de ventes et d'affaires au sein de son territoire en coordonnant le développement, la mise en œuvre et le suivi des plans tactiques de territoire, en veillant à l'alignement avec les objectifs des unités d'affaires régionales et nationales.
- Comprendre les besoins des clients et communiquer des informations précises et complètes sur les produits par le biais d'appels continus auprès des vétérinaires ciblés en médecine des animaux de compagnie dans le but d'augmenter les ventes et la pénétration du marché dans le territoire.
- Conduire des formations continues et des présentations de produits aux équipes des cliniques.
- Assister à des formations sur les produits et les ventes et participer à des conférences et des conventions.
- Optimiser le potentiel commercial dans le territoire grâce à une analyse, une planification et une mise en œuvre efficaces. Le GC gère les données du territoire via un CRM et/ou d'autres outils de gestion de territoire pertinents. D'autres tâches administratives incluent les rapports de dépenses et les formations obligatoires.
- Effectuer ses tâches d'une manière pleinement conforme à l'engagement de notre entreprise envers nos valeurs et normes, nos politiques, procédures, normes de l'industrie, et toutes les lois et réglementations.
