**Warehouse Manager - (Winnipeg)**
The Warehouse Manager is responsible to lead, manage and oversee the completion of all operational activities, staff members and requirements of the CSS (Winnipeg) warehouse.
This includes managing shipments in
- and outbound; picking products from the warehouse according to pick lists; determining optimal freight costs; preparing for and completing inventory counts annually and per inventory schedule; restocking retail inventory where required, and maintaining the warehouse area in a neat, organized and safe manner according to all policies, procedures, legislation and regulation.
The incumbent is responsible for monitoring the condition of, and scheduling all maintenance and repairs to the Company’s warehouse equipment and corporate vehicles. The incumbent will contribute to the development of warehouse operational policies, procedures and practices, and staff development.
This position works as part of a team and plays a key role in delivering the highest level of service excellence to achieve total customer satisfaction.
The Warehouse Manager contributes to the overall success and profitability of Corporate Security Supply and more broadly, the CSS Group of Companies. To enable this, initiative, teamwork, communication, customer service and judgment are core competencies.
**Skills Required**:
- Proven leadership, management and supervisory experience in a warehouse environment
- Proven self-starter; High degree of initiative and self-monitoring
- Proven ability to coordinate, optimize and maintain receiving, warehousing, and distribution facilities and operations
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills

- Demonstrated physical fitness; Lifting / carrying items up to 22 kg (50 lbs.)
- Advanced knowledge and demonstrated practice complying with all applicable health and workplace safety laws, regulations, policies, procedures and practices
- Exceptional record of punctuality and attendance
**Detailed Description**:
- Receive, verify, record and place all products arriving at the Company’s facility
- Price, label and package as applicable all product received for sale, including UPC (bar code) labeling
- Determine optimal distribution method / provider and freight costs for shipments
- Pick products from the warehouse; Prepare and pack products for outbound shipment
- Pick-up and deliver products as required using corporate vehicle
- Complete inventory counts as required (ad hoc; cycle; annual)
- Maintain a neat, clean and orderly warehouse facility, consolidate products to maximize warehouse space to optimize efficiency
- Maintain accurate and detailed maintenance records; Report the requirement for servicing of warehouse equipment and Company vehicles as required
- Maintain appropriate inventory of shipping products and materials
- Safeguard warehouse operations and contents by contributing to the creation of, and consistently adhering to all security policies, procedures and protocols
- Maintain safe work practices, adhere to all applicable workplace health and safety laws and regulations
- Report any issues, errors, inconsistencies and safety matters to their supervisor
**Qualifications**:
- Minimum High school diploma; Preference given to those with post secondary education (degree or diploma)
- Minimum four (4) years experience leading and managing a warehouse supporting wholesale and retail operations, at least two (2) years of which are in a supervisory capacity
- Physical fitness; Must be able to lift 22 kilos (50 pounds)
- Obtain and maintain:
- Current valid driver’s license with clear record (Manitoba: Class: 5)
- Current forklift driving and operation certification
- Criminal Record Check (Winnipeg Police Service - Level 2)
**Other**:
Hours of Work: Monday to Friday 8:30 am - 4:30 pm except for Inventory Count Days which may vary this schedule.
Full Time: 40 hours per week
