We are currently on the lookout for talented Construction Underwriters and Property & Casualty (P&C) Underwriters who share our passion for underwriting reality and excellence. Our goal is to be responsive and engaged with our brokers, working towards finding competitive solutions to complex risks.
**Main responsibilities**
- Develop, underwrite and service New Business & Renewals in accordance with our program and contract guidelines; or as a wholesaler
- Advance business relationships with existing and new brokers through professional service and marketing visits
- Collaborate with colleagues on current and future opportunities
- Represent the company at industry events as required
- Stay current with market intelligence and commercial insurance trends
**Profile**
- 3+ years of Commercial Underwriting experience
- Confidence and ability to analyze and make decisions
- Adaptability and flexibility in the face of change
- Excellent negotiation skills
- Sense of responsibility and ability to prioritize
- Knowledge of Guidewire, an asset
