Description of Role

The **Shop Hand** assists with the day-to-day operations in the shop. This role is essential to maintaining a safe, clean, and efficient work environment. Committed to supporting shop activities, including equipment maintenance, inventory management, and general labor tasks.

**General Shop Maintenance**
- Keep the shop clean, organized, and free of hazards by performing regular cleaning and maintenance duties.
- Ensure tools and equipment are stored properly after use and are in good working condition.
- Dispose of waste and materials according to company guidelines.

**Equipment & Tool Assistance**
- Assist with the maintenance, repair, and operation of shop equipment and machinery.
- Perform routine inspections to identify issues with tools or equipment and report them to the supervisor.
- Support technicians and other shop staff in using and retrieving tools or materials.

**Inventory Management**
- Track and restock shop supplies and materials as needed.
- Assist in receiving, unpacking, and organizing deliveries.
- Conduct inventory checks and report shortages to the Shop Manager.

**Job Preparation & Support**
- Assist in preparing materials and tools for specific jobs or projects.
- Help load and unload equipment or supplies from company vehicles.
- Follow instructions to complete specific tasks in a timely and efficient manner.

**Safety Compliance**
- Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines to maintain a secure work environment.
- Wear always required personal protective equipment (PPE) while on duty.
- Report any safety concerns, accidents, or near-misses to the supervisor immediately.

**General**
- Basic understanding of equipment operation and maintenance.
- Forklift certification (asset)
- Strong work ethic and an initiative-taking attitude.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good organizational and time-management skills.
- Diligence and a commitment to producing quality work.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $19.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Additional pay:

- Overtime pay
