Property Maintenance Technician

Great opportunity for an experienced Property Maintenance Technician to work at a large residence located in West Vancouver. This position is a full-time, live-out. You will be responsible for the day-to-day maintenance of the property’s exterior elements, the oversight and coordination of trades, vendors and vehicles. This position will also support the operation of an onsite event space used by the principals to entertain from time to time. Applicants should demonstrate exceptional professionalism, integrity, and excellent communication skills.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Proactively manage all aspects of the physical estate, to include the exterior of the household, the pavilion and the grounds
- Management and monitoring of household mechanical systems as well as household inventories for the purpose of the mechanical and physical structure
- Management and supervision of vendors and trades for regular maintenance, seasonal maintenance and other special projects
- To coordinate with the builder as required for any deficiencies and repairs required
- To coordinate with the builder as required for a schedule of regular maintenance required for the residence
- Ground maintenance (other than work needed by professionals), including power washing, leaf blowing, general landscaping, etc.
- Pool and pond maintenance (i.e. cleaning, feeding Koi fishes etc.)
- Maintain exterior chairs (cleaning, covering/uncovering), BBQ and exterior fireplaces.
- Maintain all exterior ‘living areas’ (such as patios, decks walk-ways etc)
- Maintain security measures and protocols, ensuring that the estate is secure at all times and that staff follow necessary procedures
**Additional Responsibilities**
- Management of vehicles to include washing, fueling and ensuring that they are maintained correctly and serviced as needed and that the records are kept accurately
- Any other item that may be required from time to time
- Coordinate and execute all arrangements for special events in conjunction with the household manager. This is a supportive role, including additional service requirements, staffing, catering, and other services
- Works directly with the Household Manager for all onsite coordination
**Desired Skills and Experience**
- A minimum of 7 months of previous experience working in a semi-formal residence
- Flexible with schedule in conjunction with peak use of the property.
- Excellent property maintenance skills and knowledge
- Knowledge and experience with masonry work an asset
- Exceptional front of house service and customer service skills.
- Able to take challenging situations in stride and remain professional and calm.
- Exceptional attention to detail and follow through on all projects assigned.
- Well groomed, polished, with a professional presentation.
- Must possess excellent time management skills; be punctual and courteous.
- Applicants should be energetic and able to anticipate the needs of principals.
- Must maintain privacy and confidentiality at all times, exercising diplomacy, discretion and respect of boundaries.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
**Salary**: $60,000.00-$85,000.00 per year
