Machine Operator

Overview: Master Halco, North America’s leading manufacturer/distributor of fencing and perimeter security products is seeking a **Manufacturing Specialist I.**
This position will work under limited supervision after training to operate moderately complex equipment in the continuous-operation manufacturing of strand wire into woven chain link fence.
Associate will also be responsible for the set-up and operation of one or more weaving machines, inspecting for quality, and troubleshooting problems.**Working With Us Has Its Rewards: *

**Responsibilities**:

- Using verbal instructions or manufacturing order forms, requests specific gauge and finish of raw material from yard employee and/or retrieves the correct material with forklift.
- Sets-up weaving machine for correct height and selvage of wire fabric and threads machine with wire ends.
- Starts, stops and monitors weaving operation on one or more weaving machines. Corrects minor problems such as tangles and misweaves and reports major problems to Supervisor or maintenance dept.
- Performs visual inspection on finished material and material in-process for misweaves, poor quality raw material, etc.
- Monitors roll length counter and removes woven wire from take-up roll.
- May drive forklift to move wire to staging area.

**Partir, arrêter et vérifier l’opération de tricotage d’une ou deux machines. Corriger les problèmes mineurs tel que broches mêlées, broches manquées et aviser le superviseur pour les problèmes majeurs.**

- Enfiler et ajuster la machine. Éventuellement être capable de procéder aux différents « set-up ».
- Faire une inspection visuelle continue du produit durant tout le processus de fabrication.
- Vérifier le compteur pour la longueur désirée. Attacher, sortir et mettre en palette le rouleau.
- Possibilité d’avoir à conduire un chariot élévateur dans l’éventualité ou la palette doit être déplacée et que la personne qui le fait ne soit pas disponible.
- Garder les aires de travail propre.
- Accomplir toutes autres tâches demandées.

Qualifications: *

- Able to physically lift 75+ lbs. regularly.
- Weaving experience is preferred but will train*
