MFG Operations Specialist (EN/FR) role at Master Halco Master Halco, North America’s leading manufacturer/distributor of fencing and perimeter security products, is seeking a Manufacturing Specialist I. This position operates moderately complex equipment in the continuous-operation manufacturing of strand wire into woven chain link fence and includes set-ups and operation of weaving machines, inspecting for quality, and troubleshooting problems. Responsibilities Using verbal instructions or manufacturing order forms, request specific gauge and finish of raw material from yard employee and/or retrieve the correct material with forklift. Set up weaving machines for correct height and selvage of wire fabric and thread machines with wire ends. Start, stop and monitor weaving operations on one or more weaving machines. Correct minor problems such as tangles and misweaves and report major problems to Supervisor or maintenance dept. Perform visual inspection on finished material and material in-process for misweaves, poor quality raw material, etc. Monitor roll length counter and remove woven wire from take-up roll. May drive forklift to move wire to staging area. Qualifications Ability to lift 75+ lbs regularly. Weaving experience is preferred. Experience in the field is an asset. Capable of performing machine setup and basic operating tasks. French/English bilingual skills are represented in the bilingual content of the original description; ensure comprehension of job duties as described.
