**ABOUT YOUR ROLE**
- **Cleaning & Sanitizing**:Disassemble, clean, and reassemble production machinery, clean product contact surfaces, and sanitize floors using high-pressure water and chemical solutions.
- **Following Protocols**:Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points), and other food safety regulations.
- **Equipment & Chemical Handling**:Operate and maintain sanitizing equipment, safely handle, store, and prepare chemicals, and prepare sanitizers following specified instructions.
- **Record Keeping**:Complete and maintain documentation, forms, and sanitation logs to prove that cleaning and sanitation procedures have been performed satisfactorily.
- **Waste Management**:Dispose of waste and chemical waste properly, ensuring adherence to waste management protocols.
- **Safety Compliance**:Follow all worker safety, OSHA, and other regulatory health and safety policies and procedures, including lock-out/tag-out procedures for energy isolation.
- **Teamwork**:Participate as a team member to carry out sanitation procedures and ensure overall cleanliness of the production areas.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- **Physical Stamina**:Ability to stand for extended periods, move around, and work in a physically demanding environment.
- **Attention to Detail**:Meticulousness in following steps to ensure thorough cleaning and adherence to safety protocols.
- **Mechanical Aptitude**:Ability to understand how machines work and take them apart for cleaning.
- **Chemical Safety**:Knowledge of and experience with handling, storing, and using cleaning chemicals and reading labels.
- Ability to think clearly and respond calmly under pressure, prioritizing and dealing with more than one topic / issue simultaneously.
- Excellent time management skills, well organized, good attention to detail.
- Clear and concise communication skills, both written and oral.
- Confident and self-starter, able to demonstrate forward thinking to anticipate potential challenges that could adversely impact time management and scheduling.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think creatively when looking for solutions.
- Comfortable with working outside of normal work hours as necessary.
- Interest in how businesses operate and the roles of different functions that fall under the leadership responsibility of the Owner.
