Full Time Early Childhood Educator

kcs Association is looking for an Early Childhood Educator for our Toddler Program, who is able to work Monday to Friday between 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Responsibilities of the Early Childhood Educator include (but are not limited to):
- To plan, deliver & evaluate Early Learning programming
- Foster child’s independence within a safe learning environment
- To ensure children are appropriately supervised at all times
- To ensure that classroom environment exhibits SPICE (social, physical, intellectual, creative, emotional) and developmentally appropriate practices
- To work as a team with other Early Learning Teachers and to attend Early Learning Teachers’ meetings, staff meetings, and other meetings as required
- To communicate with parents/caregivers (verbal, newsletters, posted notices, etc.)
Qualifications:
- Child Care Certification (Level 1 or higher)
- Experience working with children; experience with developmental needs an asset
- Experience with the Alberta Child Care Curriculum: _Flight _an asset
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Criminal Record/Vulnerable Sector Check
- Child Intervention Check
- First Aid/CPR
**Required training (e.g. First Aid) can be taken upon successful hire.**
