Manager, Information Technology

**Reporting Relationship**: This position reports directly to the Director, IT & Information Security

**Job Summary**:
The Manager of IT is responsible for maintaining and enhancing the Birchwood Automotive Group’s technology infrastructure and information systems. The Manager of IT provides a secure, compliant, robust, reliable, scalable, and efficient infrastructure and will help direct infrastructure support strategy and operations. The Manager works closely with the Director of IT to deliver a broad technology plan to align technology solutions with the business operations. Working with the Director of IT, the Manager focuses on hardware and software initiatives which support the dealerships, collision centres and overall Birchwood Automotive Group in achieving their objectives of ensuring customer satisfaction, growing revenue, and achieving profit targets.

**Key Responsibilities**:
Ø **Leadership**
- Provides leadership to the TSI Technical Support team and ensures that employees receive guidance, training, and feedback on performance. Recruits and selects new employees. Encourages and supports personal development plans. Mentors and coaches employees to help them deal with problems and challenges. Creates a respectful, positive and team-oriented working environment which instills engagement, enthusiasm, and a high motivation to succeed. Ensures that there is an effective working relationship between TSI Tech Support and other areas in the company. Holds TSI Technical Support team members accountable for providing good customer service and supporting other areas of the company.

Ø **Customer Service**
- As a key member of the TSI Technical Leadership Team, actively demonstrates a personal, enthusiastic commitment to the company and its mission, vision, values and strategies. Contributes to the long-term direction and day-to-day operation of the TSI Technical division. Provide exceptional customer service and holds TSI Technical Support team members accountable for the same.

Ø **Technical Expertise**
- Oversees the day-to-day support of all production platforms to ensure availability, integrity, and confidentiality of the network, servers, telecommunication services, information and building security.

Ø **Administration**
- Assists in establishing a strategic direction for TSI Technical initiatives. Assists the Director of IT to regularly review and refine the strategy and operating plan based on changing circumstances. Operates within approved budgets and ensures that TSI Technical achieves all established goals and objectives.

Ø **Work Conditions**
- Occasional inspections of cable infrastructure in ceilings, walls and rooftops.
- Lifting and transporting of moderately heavy objects, such as computers and peripherals.

**Qualifications**:
Ø **Knowledge & Experience**
- Degree or diploma in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 8 years of IT enterprise systems experience.
- Experience managing teams of 8+.
- Core expertise in Server Virtualization, Network Architecture, Network Security, and IT Compliance Standards.
- Technical leadership with proficiency in process, tools, and automation.
- Broad knowledge of network infrastructure tech (Linux, Windows, Storage, Networks, Cloud, e.g., Azure and AWS).
- Strong grasp of WAN/LAN, internet connectivity, and current delivery concepts.
- Valid 5F driver's license and own transportation to and from work
