Requisition ID: 172882 Join a purpose driven winning team, committed to results, in an inclusive and high-performing culture. **Purpose** The Manager, Research Strategy & Insights will contribute to the overall success of the Global Brand & Customer Insights department across the Scotiabank Group of Companies, on Canadian and international mandates, ensuring specific individual goals, plans, initiatives are executed / delivered in support of the team’s business strategies and objectives. The incumbent will ensure all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies, and proedures. This role follows a hybrid model of work. **Accountabilities** - Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge. - Support the design and implementation of Research Projects - Aiding in the development and execution of all aspects of the market research project for various stakeholders across the Scotiabank Group of Companies, including questionnaire design, sample plans, recruitment screeners, moderator's guides, as well as preparing written analyses and reports. - Designing and delivering end-to-end research projects (may include developing research proposals, research plans, methodology, target, quotas, timing, etc.), with support as required. - Data Analysis, Report Creation and Insights Sharing - Analyzing data using cross tabs and/or SPSS software for quantitative research projects. - Preparing written analysis and create insightful reports with recommendations, with support as required. - Synthesizing insights from a variety of sources to clearly communicate cohesive and impactful stories. - Presenting and sharing insights from the research to key stakeholders. - Showcase and advocate for research strategy and insights through GBCI Hub, town halls, Global Marketing shares, etc. - Partner Liaison - Meets with business line stakeholders to understand research needs and business issues. - Standardizes the structure, content, timeline, and delivery of research where possible to ensure a predictable and consistent level of service. - Establishes a healthy working relationship with internal teams across the Bank, including global partners. - Vendor Liaison - Engages external research vendors and work closely with vendor(s) throughout all stages of the project design, implementation, and analysis. - Ensures that all market research efforts are carried out on time and on budget. - Explores and establishes relationships with new research vendors. - Works with research vendors to suggest new and innovative market research methodologies. - Champions a high-performance environment and demonstrates a commitment to Scotiabank’s values: accountability, passion, integrity and respect. Creates an inclusive team culture and an environment where team members hear, share, and appreciate diverse perspectives. - Directs day-to-day activities in a manner consistent with the Bank’s risk culture and the relevant risk appetite statement and limits. - Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational risk, regulatory compliance risk, AML/ATF risk and conduct risk, including but not limited to responsibilities under the Operational Risk Management Framework, Regulatory Compliance Risk Management Framework, AML/ATF Global Handbook and the Guidelines for Business Conduct **Experience/Education** - 5 or more years’ experience in market research on vendor or client side. - Superb writing and presentation skills to write reports and present results to large audiences. - Experienced with both primary and secondary research, including qualitative and quantitative methods. - Strong analytical skills with the ability to find the story in data. - Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint. - Familiarity with SPSS, Qualtrics, desired. - Solid organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deliverables and priorities. - Demonstrated track record of delivering high-quality work within strict timelines. - Possess excellent communication skills combined with effective relationship-building ability. - Fluency in Spanish highly desirable. - Completed an undergraduate university degree or college, such as commerce, mathematics, or computer science. - Completed Market Research certificate program, an asset. - Specialized qualitative training, Qualitative Research Associate designation, an asset.
