**Job Overview**:
Central Machine and Marine is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Project Manager to join our team. The Project Manager will play a crucial role in supporting the projects that move through our shop, including machining, fabrication, and overseeing any outsourcing efforts. This role requires a proactive individual who can manage customer communication, track change orders, and monitor customer contracts to ensure the successful completion of all projects.

**Major Responsibilities**
- Project Coordination: Oversee the flow of projects from kick-off, through the shop, including machining, fabrication, and outsourcing processes. Ensure that all project phases are executed according to schedule, quality standards, and customer requirements.
- Plan projects / Establish schedules / Modify when required.
- Customer Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, providing regular updates on project status, addressing enquiries, and managing expectations throughout the project lifecycle.
- Change Order Management: Track and manage change orders, ensuring that any adjustments to the project scope, schedule, or budget are communicated clearly to all stakeholders and documented appropriately.
- Contract Monitoring: Review and monitor customer contracts to ensure compliance with project specifications, deliverables, and terms. Address any discrepancies and work to resolve issues promptly.
- Resource Management: Collaborate with shop personnel and external vendors to allocate resources effectively, maintaining project timelines and quality standards.
- Quality Assurance: Work closely with the Quality team to ensure the project quality and documentation is complete as necessary. Support Quality with any engagement with the customer.
- Budget Management: Monitor project budgets, track expenses, and work to keep projects within financial constraints. Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
- Reporting and Documentation: Maintain detailed records of project progress, customer communications, and any issues that arise. Provide regular reports to management on project status and performance metrics.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a positive attitude.
- Ability to work within tight deadlines and prioritization of work to achieve them.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Drive efficiencies through the project from the quote stage through to final commissioning.
- Any other tasks assigned.

**Education & Experience**:

- PMP Designation would be an asset, or you would be willing to work toward the qualification.
- 3 year’s experience and demonstrated success in project management.
- Experience with maintenance, machining and fabrication an advantage.

- AEC / DEP or Skilled Trade Certificate (preferred)

- Manufacturing: 2 years (required)
- Project management: 3 years (required)
- Job Shop / Machine Shop: 2 years (preferred)
- Machine and Fabrication: 2 years (preferred)
- Customer Facing: 2 years (preferred)
