**Neighbourly Pharmacy** is looking for a **Pharmacy Student** to join our **Saskatoon-Central**, **SK **location at **Earl’s Pharmacy**.

Reporting to the Store Operator/Pharmacy Manager, and under the supervision of a pharmacist, this role is responsible for performing specific dispensing functions as outlined by provincial regulations and standards of practice.

  • 16 to 24 hours per week.
  • The usual shifts will be Saturdays and Sundays from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
  • This position will mainly cover weekends and statutory holidays.
  • There is also the potential for more hours during the summer and part-time opportunity during the school year (flexible based on schedule).

**responsibilities**

The pharmacy student must be always under the supervision of a pharmacist. All dispensing functions performed by a pharmacy student must be carried out following provincial regulations and standards of practice.

  • Filling, preparing and labelling prescription refills.
  • Billing and adjudication.
  • Compounding.
  • Medication change management for compliance packaging for care home customers.
  • Preparing care home orders for delivery.
  • Communication with nursing staff at care homes.
  • Assisting the pharmacist in their daily tasks.
  • Locate the medication, select the prescription container, and count/pour the medication.
  • Ensure that the original container, prescription container contents, and label are checked and initialled by the pharmacist.

**Qualifications & Skills**

  • Currently enrolled in the **PharmD program** at any level.
  • Previous Retail Pharmacy experience is an asset.
  • Kroll experience is an asset.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Able to work independently and have experience multi-tasking.
  • Professional attitude and ability to communicate well with customers and co-workers.
