**Job Overview**

Your role will begin focused on entrepreneurial sales - both the act of selling and peripheral activities like managing and improving our sales displays, participating in team marketing projects.

We're looking for someone who can grow into our sales and events manager for Metro Vancouver, and who is willing to put the time, flexibility and devotion into the journey.

**In-Person Sales, special events and brand ambassador work**:

- Travel to and represent Slow Sunday Foods at consumer events, pop-ups, and festivals around Metro Vancouver.
- Engage with and learn from customer
- Assist in organizing and hosting in store sampling events, tastings, and brand activations.
- Attend various community and brand-building events.
- Community outreach
- Network with restaurants and deli owners
- Plan and host marketing events/brand activations
- Assist in hiring and managing student salespeople
- Maintain our sales displays and kits with meticulous attention to detail
- Provide ideas to improve our overall brand presence
- Use your in the field experiences as opportunities to bring new ideas to our marketing team - what you're learning from your direct consumer experience

**Location and schedule details (approximate breakdowns)**:

- Events will have specific schedules.
- You have some flexibility to schedule store events according to your preferred schedule.
- You may do some events on your own, and some as part of a team that will include our founders.
- Christmas season is especially busy, November - December. Plan to work many hours.

**Qualifications we're looking for**
- 2 years minimum of fulltime work experience, with some of it coming in marketing, sales, food service, or direct customer sales. Looking for someone who can bring lots of positive energy.
- Familiarity with social media platforms is a plus
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Passion for food, the food business and excited to learn about how to create a scalable food business
- Excellent communication skills and ability to engage with customers both online and in person.
- Highly organized, adaptable, and able to take initiative and multitask.
- A valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle (some travel required).
- Physically able to lift 25 lbs occasionally (for markets).
- An optimistic and growth mindset - a view of challenges, big and small, as opportunities to create something better

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent, Seasonal
Contract length: 4-8 months

Pay: $20.00-$23.00 per hour
