**Overview**:
The Maintenance Technician is responsible to perform preventative maintenance and repairs to MHE, and existing Knowledge of basic refrigeration. Assist with repairs on all equipment throughout the RSC. Actively contributes to a positive and productive working environment. Record keeping of RSC equipment, rack inspections, all battery maintenance and repairs.
- Follow and maintain preventative maintenance schedule on all equipment.
- Knowledge of onsite Refrigeration System for minor repairs and maintenance scheduling.
- Understand Preventive Maintenance Programs such as Verisae and Capital Asset Tracking
- Perform necessary repairs and PM’s on all equipment.
- Maintain parts inventory and re-ordering replacement parts as needed.
- Be flexible with the shifts to maintain the equipment and facility.
- Be on call 24/7 basis.
- Complete all daily inspections in a thorough and timely manner.
- Maintain battery fleet and chargers.
- Maintain dock doors, dock plates, and door seals.
- Daily inspection and record keeping of refrigeration system.
- Daily inspection and record keeping of sprinkler systems.
- Adhere to and implement all applicable Food Safety program requirements.
- All other duties as required to maintain the facility.

**Job Requirements**:

- Certificate or training in an applicable trade an asset.
- A Minimum of one year experience in an industrial setting like a a retail support centre.
- Skill and knowledge to troubleshoot industrial forklift and pallet jack batteries.
- Skill and knowledge to load test batteries and determine issues with battery.
- Skill and knowledge to safely remove and replace battery cells to meet industry standard.
- Skill and knowledge in the safe use of tools required to perform daily tasks.
- Skill and knowledge of a refrigeration system and components.
- Experience with volt/ ohm meter for the purpose of analytical diagnosis.
- Skill and knowledge to maintain and repair electric pallet jacks and forklifts.
- Be able to read and understand wire diagrams.
- Be able to read and understand Hydraulic diagrams.
- Be able to read and understand Refrigeration diagrams.
- Be able to work at heights and the safe use of aerial platforms and use of safety equipment require
- Physical work including frequent bending, lifting, and reaching
- Occasionally lift over 88 lbs
- Two person lift required for weights exceeding 50 lbs
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time
- Possible exposure to extreme temperatures
- Alertness to other people and vehicles
- Various shifts including evenings and weekends
