Job Requirements

This position is responsible for a team who ensure licensed agents and employees are compliance with all Regulatory Licensing issues and ensuring that all sales agents are onboarded and licensed in accordance with Company policy; including ensuring sales agent’s records are maintained on all systems. Ensuring prompt and accurate responses to our Field Sales Force or internal departments on Licensing matters and to Provincial Regulators regarding all regulatory concerns or issues. Reviewing and monitoring the integrity of input data on mainframe and ad hoc reports. Motivate and lead the Licensing team to meet challenging and changing objectives including development, training, and mentoring staff. Continue to review and evaluate both the team and processes to identify opportunities. Ensuring that there are updated documented procedures for all tasks that impact the Licensing area including system and process changes.

**Primary Duties**:
Manage and directing the work of the Licensing team who are responsible for:

- The onboarding of independent sales agents (contractors) and ensuring that the current recruiting standards are adhered to and that Provincial Insurance Regulations are followed.
- Responsible for ensuring benefit, Errors and Omissions and service fee deductions are correctly set up on the system.
- Responsible for the correct handling of sensitive termination files; maintaining confidentiality and accurate reporting to the respective regulators.
- Ensuring the integrity of the multiple databases and reporting programs that are required to perform the function of the licensing department.
- Ensure that the sales agent’s contracts are kept current and distributed as needed.

Handle complex, confidential and/or unique written or verbal inquiries from Departments of Insurance, other insurance companies, Government Agencies, Legal Corporations, and internal departments, requiring a general understanding of legal dispositions and terminology.

Participate in an have knowledge of special projects affecting the Licensing department; including testing of new systems or system enhancements and the reporting of system problems and deficiencies and their resolution.
Develop and implement training program for onboarding new employees and any new initiatives impacting the Licensing department; system or procedural changes, train and audit for quality standards.

Coach and mentor employees on the licensing team to ensure continued professional and personal growth.

Work Experience

**Job Requirements/ Qualifications**:

- Must have 6 years managerial experience in Insurance/Financial Services industry or equivalent relevant experience
- Proven people management and development skills
- Experience in Insurance Licensing
- Bilingual English/French
- Self driven, energetic individual who has the vision to enhance service and support for our customers
- Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to multitask and excellent time management skills to meet deadlines.
- Advanced Microsoft office, Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, OneDrive
- Must possess Interpersonal, Analytical and Training Skills
- Excellent critical thinker; systematic and logical approach to problem-solving
- Strong written, verbal & interpersonal skills
