**Job description**

IMMEDIATE START - CASUAL/ON CALL

As a care specialist you will work in our dog playrooms, training rooms, and kennel area.

Dogs within facility can weigh between 20-150lbs and are inclusive of all breeds.

You will be responsible for managing a group of up to 20 dogs at one time for up to 8 hours at a time.

A Care Specialist must be able to:

- Be confident with all sizes and breeds of dogs
- Be able to manage and handle dogs of all sizes and breeds
- Creating and maintaining pet-parent relationship
- Be physically fit to stand and be active for up to 8 hours
- Knowledgeable in dog behaviour & body language
- Be able to feed animals with different dietary needs
- Administer medical treatment provided by pet-parents
- Work night shifts
- Be confident, calm, and assertive
- Embody the Alpha Canine values
- Team oriented
- Clean throughout their shift in work area
