**_Job brief_**

Successful applicants should be knowledgeable in business acumen and pricing analysis mechanism. The job holder will also be required to have general accounting practical knowledge and able to complete simple accounting tasks.

**_Core Responsibilities_**
- Perform business analysis and reporting for assigned projects
- Estimating costs and comparing budgets with actual expenses
- Monitoring costs after significant changes in products or processes
- Determine standard costs and investigate variances with actual costs vs budgeted costs
- Create and manage budgets, and monitor spending
- Forecast and analyze costs of processes, labour, and inventory
- Suggest cost-reducing or profitable solutions
- Prepare detailed reports, both periodically and ad-hoc

**_Job Terms_**
- Job Type: Permanent Full-time
- Probationary Period: 3-months
- Work Location: 7050 Telford Way, Mississauga, ON L5S 1V7
- Shift Requirement: Primarily Mondays to Fridays, 9 am to 5:30 pm
- Compensation: $65,000 to $70,000 per year.
- Benefits: Group Benefits entitlement upon completion of probation time

**_Requirements_**
- Degree in Data Analytics, Accounting, or similar field; Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or working towards a designation is an asset.
- Proven experience as a cost analyst, cost specialist or similar role
- Strong knowledge of business management and data analysis
- 3 years + experience in related roles as required
- Excellent communication, organizational and problem-solving skills are needed
- Effective reporting and presentation skills
- Advanced Microsoft skills, particularly with excel
- Working knowledge of QuickBooks
- Tech-savvy must be comfortable learning different ERP systems and make business recommendations based on data analysis
