**Job description**

**Position Summary**

As a Water Transfer Technician, you will be responsible for the safe operation of fluid management equipment utilized to deliver water from Source to Site. The technician will work alongside a supervised crew of experienced individuals, which will allow for ample on-site training and guidance. Strauss offers positions for both employees and independent contractors.

**All applicants **_**MUST**_ **meet the following requirements to be eligible for this position**:

- 2+ years of direct water transfer experience
- Working knowledge of a fracking operation and rig site
- Meets or exceeds all mandatory tool & truck requirements
- Valid safety certificates: First Aid, H2S Alive, and CSO (TDG & WHMIS provided)
- Able to demonstrate strong work ethic, adaptability, leadership and communication skills in a team setting

**Mandatory Tools Required**:

- Hitch Receiver - 2” & 2-5/16” Hitch Receiver - Pintle
- ½” Impact Driver (Battery Powered),
- ½” Impact Sockets (1-7/16” & 1-1/4” a must),
- 4lb SledgeHammer,
- Allen Key Drivers for Impact (3/8” & 5/16” a must)
- Truck Radio

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Safe operation of various equipment: Pumps, Filtration Units, Skid Steers, and other Fluid Management Systems
- Routine inspections on equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation
- Participate in safety meetings and ensure required paperwork is filled out daily
- Abide by all standard operating procedures and rules/regulations provided by the client
- Rig in, and rig out of all fluid management equipment
- Accept tasks delegated by immediate supervisor and carry out each task in a safe and efficient manner
- Maintain constant communication with fellow workers and supervisors on a long-line transfer
- Participate in pigging operations

**Experience and Qualifications**:

- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License
- ¾ or 1-ton truck (Diesel preferred)
- Basic Tools (Tool list will be provided)
- Current certification in First Aid, H2S Alive, and CSO (TDG & WHMIS provided)
- Related water pumping or oilfield experience preferred
- Heavy lifting, up to 50lbs required
- Demonstrated focus on customer service and client satisfaction
- Demonstrated commitment to safety

**Working Conditions**:

- Travel is required and paid for non-local jobs (REMOTE LOCATIONS)
- Certain jobs may be eligible for Living Out Allowance
- Outdoor environment, including extreme weather conditions
- Physically demanding
- Exposure to high-pressure lines, noise, dust, fumes, and chemicals

**Along with resume, submit 3 references, valid Class 5 Driver’s License, valid H2S Alive, First Aid, and CSO tickets. We will provide TDG and WHMIS training.**

Pay: $450.00-$750.00 per day

Schedule:

- 12 hour shift
- Day shift
- Night shift

Work Location: On the road

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Fixed term contract

Pay: $450.00-$750.00 per day

Expected hours: 60 - 80 per week

- Morning shift
