The Engineering, Parks and Environment Department requires a regular full-time Labourer 3 in the Parks Section.

You will have considerable knowledge of the practices, methods, procedures, tools and equipment used in arboriculture and natural park lands; considerable skill in the operation of power and hand tools; considerable experience in general arboriculture and parks maintenance work, preferably on a Urban Forestry or Natural Areas and Invasive Management crew. You will have physical strength, stamina and coordination to perform heavy manual work outdoors in all types of weather. You will have strong public relations skills with the ability to effectively interact with the public, as well as demonstrated leadership skills and independent judgment. A valid Class 5 BC Driver’s License is also required. Completion of, or progress towards, an ISA certification, ITA certification or a Natural Land Management certification would be an asset.

**Salary**:
$33.82 per hour
(January 2024 rates)

**Hours of Work**:
7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday to Friday
