We seek excellent students, faculty, and staff to join us in what has become known as the "Western Experience" - an opportunity to contribute to a better world through the development of new knowledge, new abilities, new connections, and new ways to make a difference. **About Us**: The Faculty of Health Sciences is a large, diverse, and comprehensive unit, comprised of seven Schools (Nursing, Kinesiology, Health Studies, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Communication Sciences and Disorders and Food and Nutritional Sciences), a large Interdisciplinary Graduate Program in Health and Rehabilitation Sciences and four Research Centers. The Faculty has more than 4,000 undergraduate students and more than 900 graduate students (200 PhD students). **Responsibilities**: **Responsibilities**: The Course Educator/Coordinator is responsible for supporting the administration and delivery of courses delivered by the CCAA. The duties may include: - Process SFIC certifications and renewals as needed. - Support the coordination of the SFIC mentorship process. - Support Lead Instructors with course administration and delivery (Zoom, attendance tracking, tracking and reviewing submitted assignments) - Data entry of class lists into HAroLD for CCAA-City of London classes. - Assist with planning of fitness appraisal days for CCAA-City of London classes and other classes as needed. - Work with other appraisers to administer fitness appraisals several times per year during group fitness appraisal days. - Other CCAA administrative duties as requested. - Other administrative duties for CCAA activates as requested. Qualifications: **Education**: - Secondary School Diploma - Related nationally recognized Fitness Instructor Certification (i.e. SFIC CCAA) - Current First Aid & CPR certification or must be obtained prior to employment start date **Experience**: - 3-5 year related Fitness instruction experience working with 55 plus segment Skills, Abilities & Expertise: - Strong verbal communication skills - Competency with MS Office suite of programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook) - Ability to maintain a positive, outgoing attitude with genuine customer service orientation - Personable and courteous in working relationships with colleagues, clients and the public - Ability to create a positive impression while interacting with others and responding to inquiries, by telephone, in person or electronically - Demonstrated ability to understand and resolve issues - Passion to work hard with a propensity to pursue goals with energy and persistence - Ability to teach and effectively lead a range of fitness classes and activities - Reliable with the consistent ability to work assigned shifts is paramount **Why Western?**: **Background Checks**: While transcripts are not required for the interview, they are mandatory prior to any offer of employment.
