**A day in the life**:

- As a Project Archeologist/Project Manager and Coordinator (Intermediate Experienced Archaeologist) on the WSP E&I Canada Limited team you will:

- Coordinate fieldwork logistics, including scheduling field staff, compiling safety requirements and documents, and arranging vehicles, equipment, and travel.
- Liaise with Indigenous Nations to participate in fieldwork at WSP work sites;
- Research, prepare, and submit proposals and reports for a variety of archaeological projects;
- Complete Stage 1 to 4 Archaeological Assessment reports;
- Liaise with Ministry of Citizenship and Multiculturalism (MCM) staff;
- Assist with the coordination of deliverables and project schedules;
- Opportunity to shadow on project management tasks, including client and stakeholder communications, and organizing and monitoring resources;
- Supervision, training and mentorship of junior staff members;
- Assisting with all aspects of archaeological requirements aligned with the Ontario Heritage Act and MCM 2011 Standards and Guidelines for Consultant Archaeologists;
- Review and revise planning processes and procedures to increase efficiency;
- Some fieldwork, as required on a project-by-project basis;
- Other duties as required.

**What you'll bring to WSP...**:
Bachelor’s Degree in Archaeology, Anthropology or related field.
- Attention to detail.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Capable of delivering quality work in a deadline-driven environment with mínimal supervision.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Willingness and ability to work outdoors for long days in rough terrain, harsh elements, and to carry out frequent and rigorous manual labor (e.g., hand shoveling, troweling).
- Must be able to lift to 40 lbs. and be capable of repetitive movement of shoveling and screening soil/earth.
- Able and interested in both field and office-based tasks.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience writing high-quality technical archaeological reports that meet all requirements of the MCM Standards and Guidelines for Consultant Archaeologists
