**Based at**: CYC Head Office

**Job Purpose**:
The Associate Buyer is responsible for supporting the entire buying process, which includes planning, selecting and purchasing quantities of goods based on consumer needs, while minimizing inventory risk. With a strong acumen for data analysis, this role will execute weekly sales reports, create data analysis presentations and generate seasonal buy back packs. Reporting to the Buying Manager, this role will also work closely with our Merchant and E-Commerce team in managing our seasonal ‘Go to Market’ checkpoints and other initiatives. The ideal Associate Buyer has a passion for product, a keen eye for fashion, and is able to spot market shifts and trends.

**Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities**:

- Generate and analyze weekly sales reports and retail dashboards
- Monitor inventory levels across all channels/doors to issue weekly replenishment and quarterly pullbacks
- Assist in generating monthly, and seasonal forecast packs to inform quarterly buying
- Analyze size breaks and inventory levels to strategically inform seasonal order and reorder placing
- Assist the Buying Manager with seasonal reviews and build presentations for key stakeholders
- Champion the planning, management and communication of the ‘Go to Market’ calendar
- Aid with the management of stock clearance exit plans and strategies
- Support the Buying Manager with tasks required to prepare and deliver seasonal buys

**About you**:

- Previous experience in retail or buying
- You have a bachelor’s degree in business, merchandising, or related field preferred
- You are data-driven with a strong acumen for numbers and analysis.
- Experience using Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint or Keynote.
- You have strong communication skills and enjoy collaborating and working cross-functionally with a diverse range of partners.
- You have a keen eye for fashion.
- You have an entrepreneurial spirit that drives initiatives forward.
- You are adaptable and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.
