**Position Summary**:
The student will focus on the Business Intelligence and Data Warehouse.
- Build, implement, and maintain ETL’s (extract, transformation, and load) under the BI /DW Senior Lead’s supervision
- Develop data catalog categories, tags, others
- as required and defined by the team’s lead and manager.

**Responsibilities**:

- Gather requirements from the users on the Business Intelligence and Data Warehouse (BI/DW) team.
- Gather requirements from the business users on the design and layout for the reports and dashboards.
- Identify, document, review and configure BI/DW solutions under Senior Lead, BI /DW supervision to address the business needs.
- Develop procedures and documentations for user support and service desk reference/support.
- Collaboration with BI/DW team on different related activities.

**Qualifications**:

- Must be currently enrolled in 3rd or 4th year post-secondary program in the field of computer science or a related discipline.
- Previous work experience in the field considered an asset.

**Knowledge, Skills & Attributes**:

- Solid knowledge of current internet technologies.
- Computer skills, MSSQL 2013 (and higher) experience, basic knowledge about Active Directory.
- Knowledge of designing and implementing MS SQL Server databases advanced T-SQL and scripting methods.
- Knowledge and understanding of BI tools (MS SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), MS SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).
- Thorough knowledge on database design methodologies, functional dependencies, normalization, entity relationship modeling.
- Understanding of software development methodologies and lifecycle.
- Strong analytical skills, research, writing and communication skills.
- Intermediate knowledge about Tableau, and Power BI for visualization purposes.
- Basic knowledge of Data Catalogue concept.
- Intermediate knowledge of programming languages, such as C#, and Python.
- Basic Knowledge of R language to interpret scripts considered as a good to have.
- Is a team player with a strong customer service orientation and diplomacy while dealing with multiple stakeholders.
