Retail Associate

The purpose of this position is to be helpful, knowledgeable and committed to finding solutions for all customers in their pool and spa part and equipment needs. You will work independently, and in a team environment to showcase, sell and assist customers. Your goal is to drive sales and find the most efficient, accurate and customer-focused products to resolve any problems they may have or any new inquiries towards improving or replacing existing equipment. All training will be provided but sales experience is an asset towards being successful in this role. **Duties and Responsibilities**
- Report Directly to the Retail Store Manager/Assistant Manager.
- Ensure all customers are met with a friendly, and welcoming greeting within 30 seconds - 1 minute of them entering the store. As well, thank all customers for visiting the store upon them leaving.
- Support a strong commitment to superior and genuine customer service by exerting compassion, knowledge and empathy to all customers and associates. This also should encompass your behavior at work being ethical, positive, respectful and helpful at all times.
- Drive sales through engaging both customers and co-workers with accurate and practical product knowledge working to achieve overall sales targets for the Parts Department and retail store as a whole.
- Assist customers in loading large purchases to their cars. This position has opportunities for commission and part of that is giving our customers a positive and thorough experience when they do so.
- Troubleshoot and/or solve customer issues with regards to their equipment including but not limited to plumbing, heaters, pumps, salt systems and robotic cleaners, both in person and over the phone.
- Provide sales quotes where applicable and accurately tag product that has been sold for pick-up or install via the service department.
- Lias with the service department by escorting your customer to set up an install date at the service desk.
- Assist all customers on the retail floor, and answer any questions that are within your training, knowledge, and expertise. If you cannot answer their question, direct them to the representative that can best assist them.
- Ensure your desk, floor, inventory and stock are always organized, clean and free of clutter.
- You are responsible for your own customer sales through to service and follow up. You are also responsible for assisting your colleague’s customers when that colleague is absent. The goal is always to provide superior, genuine and helpful customer service.
- Re-stock returns.
- Stock and maintain all administrative supplies.

**Other Duties as Assigned**
- Help price, stock, and face merchandise on the sales floor and retail shelves
- Perform miscellaneous cleaning in the store, which includes, but not limited to the bathrooms, sweeping, mopping, or vacuuming of floors, dusting of shelves and product.
- Assist in the morning set up for the store at opening, as well as the packing up at closing.

**Working Conditions/Physical Requirements**

Those hired in this position should be well groomed and dress according to the Boldt Pools & Spas uniform policy. The position requires standing for **up to a 10-hour period of time, **and be able to move heavy equipment at times. Duties are mainly performed indoors with mínimal time spent outdoors. **Ability to work varied hours/days as business dictates, including early morning, evening and weekend shifts and hours is necessary.**
