Freehand Hospitality operates several unique chef-driven restaurants and bars in the Queen’s Marque district on the Halifax waterfront including, Mystic, ToriDori, Drift, Bar Sofia, Café Lunette, Peacock, Daryâ, and Salt + Ash. Freehand's diverse portfolio showcases a wide array of cooking styles—from upscale Maritime dining to casual Latin fare—along with warm and genuine hospitality.

Serving up mistifying ice cream, cookies and doughnuts on the Halifax waterfront, our premium sweets and frozen treats are handcrafted using quality ingredients and whimsical toppings. Enjoyed right side up or upside down, try our melt-in-your-mouth soft serve adorned with everything from churros to gold flakes and housemade “fog”, or opt for a scoop of churned goodness inspired by seasonal Canadian flavours. Visit us in Queen’s Marque rain or shine, the forecast calls for fog year-round.

**What you will be doing**:

- Communicating the vision to all team members and leads by example. Reinforcing the values daily and inspires the team with his/her exciting vision for the future
- Regularly monitor and achieve the points of technical service and points of details
- Build and maintain relationships with guests, team members and senior management alike
- Providing general administrative support for the venue
- Building relationships with vendors and suppliers
- Using conflict resolution and problem-solving skills
- Assisting with the tracking of sales, invoicing, and managing inventory
- Additional duties as assigned or required

**The person we are looking for has**:

- Post-secondary diploma/degree in Business or Hospitality is an asset
- Experience working in a similar environment in a fast-paced environment, particularly in coffee, dessert, or frozen treat shops
- The ability to process orders efficiently without compromising on quality
- Expertise in managing busy periods during high seasons - such as summers, evenings, weekends, or during special events on the waterfront - when the store sees high foot traffic
- Experience managing inventory for perishable items like donuts, ice cream and premium sweet, ensuring stock levels are optimal and minimizing waste
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- The capability to lead and inspire a team, fostering a positive environment that motivates employees to deliver exceptional service and maintain the company standards.
