A RECRUITMENT SHIFT-PSW NEEDED ON AN ONGOING BASIS MUST BE AVAILABLE FOR WEEKDAYS AND WEEKENDS

Applicants must be:
Certified PSWs (Have a diploma) or Nursing Students who have completed at least one year

Registered with OPSWA or willing to obtain

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Care for people and families during periods of illness or recovery.
- Provide bedside and personal care to clients and help them move, bathe, groom and get dressed and undressed.
- Plan and prepare meals.
- Spend time talking with your clients.
- Continuously observe person(s) and their environments
- Complete and maintain related records - Documentation includes communication books and progress notes.
- Recent vulnerable sector check for employment **(NOT SCHOOL) **within 1 year
- Current **CPR and Standard First Aid Certificate** from a WSIB approved Vendor
- A recent copy of a 2-step TB test within 1 year
- N95 mask fit certificate
- COVID vaccination Certificate
- All Immunization record - 2 step TB Test1, MMR, Tetanus, Hep B, Varicella, Flu Shot - annually.

**Job Type**: Casual

**Salary**: $20.00-$23.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Night shift
- Weekend availability

- All Immunization history available and verified by a Dr. with stamp. MMR, Tetanus, Varicella, 2 step TB or X-ray within a year, Hepatitis, DPT Vaccine, must be available.
- Standard First Aid and CPR Required.

**Education**:

- DCS / DEC (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Long term care: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Personal Support Worker Certificate (preferred)
