Community Support Worker

Community Support Worker
- Under the guidance of the circle of care, the associate will support clients in the home and/or

community. Collaboration with the caregiver/supporting agency will be essential to meet any goals
set out for the client.
- Provide support with client schedules, attend to behaviour requirements which may include

redirection, modification, and/or crisis management.
- Escort the client to community activities as set out by the care plan.
- Complete data charts/tracking sheets to ensure quality care and assessment data.
- Participate in collaboration meetings.
- Follows appropriate policy and procedures to represent Pangea Inclusive Support with aplomb and

promote the mission, vision, and values of respect, dignity, and inclusion of Pangea Inclusive Support.
- Attend training or workshops as set out as part of the on-going professional development of

Pangea Inclusive Support representatives.
- Other duties as required for the client care.

Post Secondary degree or diploma in the social services field (child and youth work, developmental
services, personal support worker, psychology, forensic psychology, community justice, criminology,
applied behaviour analysis).

At MINIMUM one year of active employment experience with youth.

Advanced communication skills both oral and written in ENGLISH.

Ability to work independently and part of a team.

Conflict resolution skills, critical thinking skills, and problem-solving skills.

Collaborative, strong communication and advocacy skills, adaptive skills, and strong expression.

A high level of ethics, inclusion practices, person-first philosophies, morals, and empathy.

Current First Aid/CPR, CPI, Vulnerable Sector police clearance.

Access to vehicle is an asset.

Additional qualifications or certificates in ABA, ASSIST, autism resources, or others are an asset.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Fixed term contract

Pay: $24.50-$30.00 per hour
