**The opportunity**
Our Microsoft Practice is looking for Digital Strategists who are passionate about their work and love a challenge. In this role you will be advising our clients to increase the value that IT delivers within their organization. This is a multidisciplinary role that includes a combination of the strategy, industry and sales to help clients digitally transform their business and navigate the scale of change needed to stay ahead and relentlessly innovate along the way.
We are looking for experienced consulting leaders who want to be part of part of making KPMG ‘the clear choice’ in the Canadian market.

What you will do:
As a Digital Strategist you will to help advance the client's long-term competitive position, working with our clients to investigate and assess their key issues, develop conduct analyses, identify viable business strategies, approaches and solutions to drive digital transformation initiatives.
You will be expected to work across multiple areas of the business, including strategy consulting, sales support and execution, and providing thought industry leadership:
- Initiate and facilitate conversations with potential strategic clients in collaboration with the account management team to land value propositions for technology solutions with customers
- Engage with key decision makers within client teams to identify, generate, and nurture new business opportunities through industry solutions. Communicate and articulate KPMG’s strategic business value to create a mutually beneficial synergy for clients to digitally transform their business using Microsoft's products, services, solutions, as they digitally transform their business.
- Provide guidance to potential/engaged clients from an industry perspective on key priorities and needs by understanding their business strategies, annual reports, and publicly available business documents to drive and implement a business solution tailored to the client’s individual needs
- Act as an industry thought leader by proactively gathering competitive insight and proactively sharing any impact
- Serve as an industry communicator to translate industry knowledge to the account management team and technology teams to identify and deliver on digital transformation opportunities
- Lead the development and the implementation of roadmaps, business cases, cost/benefit analyses and deliverables related to the implementation of recommendations
- Lead end-to-end delivery of multiple client engagements, managing complex stakeholder relationships and mobilizing solutions teams to bring valuable solutions
What you bring to this role:
- 10+ years proven experience working in a relevant industry domain
- 8+ years of consulting experience with leading MC or global SI, or 8+ years of experience in IT management roles
- Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in a relevant industry domain or related field (e.g., Computer Science, MIS, Business Administration)
- Team leadership capabilities with a drive to work closely in a collaborative team environment, lead internal and external teams and manage project deliverables
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to clearly identify, define and articulate problems and develop creative solutions to address client requirements.
- Good business acumen and ability to translate commercial requirements into technical solutions including ability to communicate technical concepts and their impact to stakeholders at all levels.
- Experience in at least one of the key industries we serve: Financial Services, Health and Government, Natural Resources, etc.
- Experience in areas of: Strategy, Innovation, Experience Design, Service Design, Client Experience Strategy, and/or Customer Journey Mapping
- Experience with scoping, estimating, cost analysis and resource plannin
