**What’s the ask?**
The Service Consultant, reporting to the Manager of Technical Services, is responsible for providing service and analytics excellence to our national and international clients with TPA/TPP services.
More specifically, the Senior Benefits Specialist will:
- The support for our Consultants and other internal partners in managing the ongoing activity for our clients with TPA/TPP services;
- Resolve and address escalated client issues and inquiries but coordinating with internal departments or carriers;
- Provide service support to our clients and members relating to the administration of their group benefit plans
- Determine and work towards resolution of any discrepancies found within contracts, booklets, and our processes in adherence with the client’s wishes;
- Coordinate contract amendments for clients;
- Proof read booklets and contracts for accuracy and ensure compliance with client’s requirements, legislation, and collective bargaining agreements;
- Review, prepare & peer review analysis of regular reporting, benefit summaries, amendments, and employee presentations/communications;
- Prepare marketing submissions, including benefit comparisons and change of carrier procedures;
- Assist Consultant with preparation of the marketing quote results for client;
- Draft employee announcements related to change in carrier and deliver all relevant documents;
- Ensure the smooth transition of benefits ensuring any client risk and exposure is mitigated;
- Assist on specific projects, initiatives and research;
- Provide and coordinate support for Consultant as requested and in accordance with procedures and service agreements;
- Maintain accurate and current records for all clients within EPIC.
**What does it take?**
- Completed post-secondary degree or a combination of equivalent professional experience and training
- 2 to 3 years of professional work experience in a similar role Strong communication skills, both written and verbal;
- Strong prioritization skills and flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment;
- Strong attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy;
- Excellent communication skills;
- Demonstrates sound judgement, ethics and integrity;
- Creative problem solver with the ability to identify issues, recommend solutions and create suitable plans for resolution;
- Strong customer service and caring attitude;
- Sound planning, prioritization, and execution skills with the ability to work to tight deadlines;
- Ability to work collaboratively, taking and providing quality feedback where appropriate;
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook;
- Knowledge of EPIC, (CRM tool), an asset.
- Bilingualism (English/French), an asset
