Requisition ID: 194371 Join a purpose driven winning team, committed to results, in an inclusive and high-performing culture. **What your role will be** Analyst, Business Intelligence Systems The Analyst, Business Intelligence Systems is responsible for administering subvention and performance reporting for the Automotive Finance OEM programs offered by Automotive Finance (AF) business line, and for providing support and service to AF management team on all matters related to AF data, data sources, and data extraction processes. **What you'll be doing** - Responsible for subvention program performance reporting process for all Automotive Finance partners and customers: - Prepares and distributes subvention program reports (buying statistics, Loyalty Program, daily/monthly/YTD bookings, etc.) to all stakeholders. - Responds to manufacturer representative inquiries on discrepancies and irregularities on manufacturer subvention program reports. - Reviews manufacturer subvention program reports for consistency and accuracy, and provides recommendations to Manager, Integrated Systems Solutions on improving these reporting. - Responsible for operating internal reports including for Audit, Finance and Risk Management. - Supports the manufacturer subvention invoicing data preparation for all Automotive Finance partners (new loans, CPO, lease and sub-prime): - Prepares the subvention invoicing data and flat files for the manufacturer partners. - Assists Senior Analyst, Business Intelligence and Information Systems and Senior Analyst, Finance with manufacturer representative inquiries and disputed subvention amounts. - Assists the administration and maintenance of AF and DMS databases used for manufacturer invoicing, manufacturer and AF management reporting processes, provides recommendations to the Manager, Integrated Systems Solutions on solutions to improve processes, makes changes to Access database scripts to accommodate manufacturer’s requests for changes in manufacturer reporting/invoicing. - Assists the analysis of integrity of data used for manufacturer subvention invoicing and manufacturer reporting including periodic reconciliation of data sources, and provides resolution for data related issues & support to core constituents - AF Management team, Dealer Finance Centers and Canadian Dealer Lease Services Inc. - Supports the finance planning team in running and maintenance of access databases to aid regular reporting activities. - Assists the response to manufacturer representative’s requests for information on invoices, program performance reports, trend analysis, new initiatives/programs and any other data-related inquiries for OEM programs. - Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions. - Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank’s Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk. - Champions a high-performance environment and contributes to an inclusive work environment. **What you need to succeed** - University degree in computer science, engineering, business or similar field is required. - Database related (MS Access, SQL scripts) work experience preferred. - Knowledge of and hands-on experience in the database management (design and analysis, SQL statements, macros, data import/export, VBA scripts). - Knowledge of business-related computer software specifically MS Access, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. - Expertise with data analysis and programming - Knowledge of financial management concepts and accounting principles. - Strong customer service attitude. **What we’re offering ** - The opportunity to join a forward-thinking organization where you are surrounded by a collaborative team of innovative thinkers. - A competitive compensation and benefits package. - An organization committed to making a difference in our communities - for you and our customers. - You can expect to be recognized and rewarded for high-performance.
