Overview

**Analyst, Business Intelligence**

GroupM is looking for a Business Intelligence Analyst with a passion for marketing and a curiosity for media in the advertising space. As a Business Intelligence Associate, your role involves mastering agency tools and becoming a go-to expert. Responsibilities go beyond mere tool proficiency - this position is a catalyst for enhancing our agency’s capabilities. From guiding new employees through tool access to supporting the BI team with day-to-day queries, to involvement in new business, the impact of this role is felt across the organization.

Requirements

  • Build proficiency in all agency tools, building towards becoming an agency champion of research resources
  • Help new employees register/secure logins for all relevant tools
  • Support planning teams with any day-to-day questions they have around tool usage
  • Maintain up to date contact list for all research reps
  • Support BI team as needed with ad hoc requests, including but not limited to pulling, cleaning and organizing medium-to-large datasets, summarizing or charting data, building presentations materials
  • Support tools training, including but not limited to establishing a training calendar, booking training sessions, issuing follow-up surveys, developing training materials and cheat sheets
  • Build familiarity and understanding of marketing/media process and concepts, including but not limited to the role of media as part of the marketing process, media planning process, the role of channels, the function of the various specialist groups across the agency, media landscape
  • Build an understanding of marketing metrics such as CPM, GRPs, VCR, VTR, LTV, ROAS, NPS
  • Actively contribute to new business initiatives, lending expertise and skills as required.
  • Help create a positive work environment by embodying and promoting our values of energy, empathy, and impact

Skills & Qualifications

  • Relevant coursework or experience in marketing, communications, or a related field preferred but not necessary
  • Interest or experience in using data with a curiosity to analyze and interpret
  • Ability to quickly learn internal systems, processes, and procedures
  • Strong communication, analytical, interpersonal, and problem solving skills
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, & PowerPoint), advanced skills in Excel preferred
  • Ability to work as a part of a cross-functional team and willingness to take on responsibilities outside of main job requirements when necessary
  • This is a hybrid role with in-person attendance required 4 days per week
