360 Concussion Care is a cutting-edge, multi-disciplinary concussion clinic committed to providing top-notch rehabilitation services. Our approach involves physician-led, interdisciplinary, evidence-based care with a strong focus on patient coaching and education. As a learning health system, we collaborate with leading hospitals and universities, generating valuable research and insights to enhance concussion prevention and treatment.
Our leadership team comprises globally recognized concussion researchers and healthcare professionals, including medical doctors, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, and psychologists. We are on the forefront of concussion research by leading the TRANSCENDENT study. This study is establishing one of the largest concussion datasets in the world and is incorporating cutting-edge assessments including physiological evaluations, fluid biomarkers and advanced neuroimaging to improve the diagnosis, treatment, and management of concussion from all causes, across the entire patient spectrum.
We established the first 360 Concussion Care clinic in September 2020 in Ottawa, and we expanded to clinic sites in Toronto and Mississauga.
**Who We're Seeking**:
We are seeking a highly organized, service-oriented individual to join our dynamic team as a Patient Coordinator. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, enjoy working with and leading people, and have a passion for providing excellent customer service, this role is for you.
As a Patient Coordinator, you will be the first point of contact for our patients, ensuring that they receive a welcoming and efficient experience. Your attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple tasks will be key in helping us run a smooth and successful clinic.
This is a full-time role. This role is in clinic, working onsite out of our Ottawa location.
**Responsibilities**:
- Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and manage patient inquiries
- Handling internal referrals and managing faxes.
- Creating and maintaining patient charts in the EMR system.
- Respond to incoming mail and correspondence in a timely manner.
- Coordinate with clinical staff to ensure seamless patient flow
- Conducting patient outreach initiatives.
- Undertaking other administrative tasks as required.
**Requirements**:
- 2+ years of experience working in the medical/healthcare setting.
- Proficiency in using electronic medical records (EMR) systems and a strong understanding of basic office software (Microsoft Office Suite).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential for effective patient interactions and internal collaboration.
- The ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic work environment, demonstrating flexibility in handling various tasks simultaneously.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address challenges and find efficient solutions.
- A collaborative and team-oriented approach to working with colleagues from diverse professional backgrounds
Pay: $21.00-$24.00 per hour
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
