**Position Overview** Property Maintenance: - Plan and monitor the day-to-day running of projects to ensure smooth progress from initial plans to completion. - Supervise team members and provide constructive feedback - Coach, train, and mentor to ensure continuous skill set improvement. - Able to build strong relationships with subcontractor partners, clients, and team members. - Ensure compliance with all regulations to complete commercial maintenance projects safely, and up to standards. - Plan, organize and determine the necessary equipment, materials, and team members needed for the best efficiency of each project. - Work with Foremen on interpreting and executing plans throughout the project. - Work with HR Department and Operations Manager on recruitment and progressive discipline when required. - Must be comfortable being hands on and willing to put boots to the ground when necessary. - Regularly communicate with Operations Manager on project status - no such thing as over communicating - Make reasonable assurances on project deadlines and communicate when timelines cannot be met to team members and Operations Manager. - Drive efficiencies on jobs reducing idle time, increasing equipment utilization and coordinating the mínimal number of trucks onsite. - Pre-site visits prior to final proposal and communicate any concerns to the Operations Manager. - Participate in estimating, when requested. - Participate in equipment "wish list" annually. - Responsible for coordinating spring equipment & tool training with all team members. Snow: - Work closely with Foremen to facilitate requests on team members and equipment. - Participate in post storm meetings with Foreman and develop hit list. - Work with HR department and Operations Manager to recruit and hire snow team members, ensure progressive discipline policy is followed if required. - Work with Operations Manager to strategize and allocate resources as required to efficiently complete work, realign zones, assign snow buddies, zone and site foreman and operators. - Coach and train snow foremen - When required: interject into dispatch, field, and evaluate customer complaints, follow up on site damage - Must be comfortable being hands on and willing to put boots to the ground when necessary. **Who You Are**: - Proven experience as Site supervisor, foreman or equivalent position - Excellent organizational and leadership abilities - Extremely self-motivated and committed to achieving results - Ability to multi-task with an ability to flex to meet company and client needs - Outstanding communication and people skills - Familiarity with MS Office - Must be comfortable being hands on and willing to put boots to the ground when necessary - High level of problem-solving skills - Willing to work hard with frequent long hours **Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent **Benefits**: - Dental care - Employee assistance program - Extended health care - Life insurance - On-site parking - RRSP match Schedule: - 8 hour shift - Day shift - Evening shift - Holidays - Monday to Friday - Night shift - On call - Overtime - Weekends as needed Supplemental pay types: - Overtime pay **Experience**: - Landscape maintenance: 2 years (preferred) - Supervising: 2 years (preferred) - Snow Removal: 2 years (preferred) - Equipment Operation: 2 years (preferred) Licence/Certification: - Driving Licence (required) Work Location: In person
