**Job Summary**

**This is a salaried position where you will be expected to cook 75% of the time and complete administrative functions 25% of the time.**

**Responsibilities**
- Supervise and manage kitchen staff to ensure efficient food preparation and service.
- Oversee menu planning and food production to meet dietary requirements.
- Conduct interviews and hire staff for various positions within the dietary department.
- Maintain inventory of food supplies and order as necessary to ensure adequate stock levels.
- Implement and monitor food safety protocols to comply with health regulations.
- Collaborate with nutritionists to create balanced meal options tailored to residents' needs.
- Train staff on proper food handling techniques and kitchen equipment operation.
- Utilize Point of Sale (POS) systems for tracking orders and managing transactions.
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and dining areas.

**Experience**
- Proven experience in team management within a food service or restaurant environment.
- Background in kitchen operations, including food preparation and bartending is preferred.
- Familiarity with restaurant management practices is a plus.
- Strong supervisory skills to lead a diverse team effectively.
- Knowledge of dietary guidelines and nutrition is beneficial.
