Summary

We are seeking a talented Chef/Chook to join our culinary team at St. Charles Village. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing nutritious and delicious meals for our residents, ensuring their dietary needs are met while fostering a positive dining experience.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and prepare a variety of meals that cater to the dietary needs of residents.
  • Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with food safety and hygiene standards.
  • Supervise kitchen staff and assist in training new team members.
  • Manage inventory and order supplies as needed to maintain kitchen operations.
  • Create menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and resident preferences.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen and dining areas.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar role within the food service industry.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
  • Excellent culinary skills with a passion for creating healthy meals.
  • Ability to lead and motivate kitchen staff effectively.
  • Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
