**THE OPPORTUNITY AWAITS YOU**
Reporting to the Manager, Business Trade and Consumer Event Sales the Account Executive, Corporate and Social Events is responsible to generate revenue for Regina Exhibition Association Limited (REAL)by planning, leading and implementing all sales aspects of corporate/social events and trade/consumer shows. The Account Executive will be responsible for maintaining and increasing the current level of event space and catering rentals throughout the various properties of REAL. New business development is a priority. Responsibilities include providing outstanding customer service and organizing memorable events that exceed quality expectations.
We are looking for an enthusiastic go-getter to help us produce amazing events for the community through successful utilization of REAL district facilities and resources The right person won’t be afraid to seek out new opportunities while continuing to grow current relationships that can be beneficial for both parties. Contract fulfillment and relationship management will be key to being successful in contributing to the future growth of REAL
**WHAT YOU WILL DO**
- Participate in the development of business plans in conjunction with the Manager to achieve long and short-term goals by:
- Contributing to the development, implementation, and monitoring of departmental KPIs
- Ensuring policies and procedures are adhered to
- Collaborating with peers and internal client groups to ensure timely and seamless execution
- Identifying and documenting lessons learned to capitalize on missed opportunities
- Reviewing strategic initiatives and financials aligned with the sales initiatives of REAL
- Participating in regular meetings to provide input for key decisions
- Motivating, coaching, and leading team members in manner that results in high engagement, productivity, and learning
- Direct, implement and evaluate event sales services to support corporate and social events and trade shows by:
- Working collaboratively to establish a strategic plan, revenue goals, key prospects, target accounts, and performance metrics
- Planing and developing REAL run Trade and Consumer shows from conception, planning, manager, and delivering in a manner that optimizes rentable space
- Bringing forward event hosting opportunities to REAL
- Participating in regular meetings to make key decisions pertaining to strategic initiatives, customer service, employee relations, operating models, and operational execution
- Exhibiting behaviours that align with the organization culture
- Ensuring events run smoothly for clients and addressing problems when they occur
- Monitoring industry trends that can be capitalized
- Participating/leading client meetings and site tours to present ideas and solutions to generate sales
- Developing innovative ideas to generate sales growth and improve customer service
- Fostering meaningful relationships with internal and external stakeholders and clients
- Collaborating with internal departments to develop sales proposals that are mutually beneficial to the client and REAL
- Ensuring event orders are completed in a timely manner and to agreed to specifications
- Hosting existing and prospective clients at REAL and business community events
- Ensures effective business unit financial planning by contributing to the department budget, monitoring as needed, managing costs appropriately, ensuring invoicing is completed in a timely and correct manner, and recommending changes in direction where needed
- Providing support, direction, professional development, and overall guidance to Sales Coordinator(s)Participating in the recruitment and onboarding for new hires
- Ensuring corporate policies and procedures, organizational values, and business code of conduct is understood, embraced, and implemented
- Participating in workforce planning
- Performs other duties as required
**Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Event Management, Commerce or related field or a combination or related education, training and experience is required
- Certifications in sales training courses is an asset
- Three (3) to five (5) years’ demonstrated experience in the sales and sponsorships and/or advertising with a proven record of accomplishment in meeting or exceeding sales goals.
- Proven track record of developing and building new business relationships that produce profitable financial results
- Experience developing budgets, forecasting, and writing sales proposals
- Ability to work collaboratively and establish strong relationships both internally and externally to the organizationAbility to work in a fast-paced environment, juggle multiple and competing priorities, and adapt to change
