We are seeking a dynamic Junior Estimator to join our team. The Junior Estimator will assist in evaluating bid specifications and drawings, ensuring comprehensive gathering of all necessary information crucial for successful project bids. Collaborating closely with our Senior Estimating team, you will assist in the development of Construction Management, Design/Build, and Tender opportunities. You will actively contribute to proposal creation while fostering effective relationships with architects, consultants, and trade partners.

**ESSENTIAL FUNCTION AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Analyze plans, specifications, design drawings and other documentation to ascertain scope of work
- Review the design and specifications for cost effectiveness and suggest alternatives
- Perform quantity take-offs and estimates for prospective work
- Prepare unit rate pricing for self-performed work; ensures that estimates reflect current costs and that the costing database is kept up to date
- Evaluate trade quotations
- Assist in the development of proposal documents

**EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE**
- Post-Secondary Degree or Diploma Civil Engineering, Building Technology or Quantity Surveying
- 2+ years of related work experience or combination of relevant technical training and experience
- A proven ability to comprehend tender documents, specifications, and drawings, with an understanding of contractual requirements.
- Detailed understanding of all construction scopes of work
- Proven track record of team collaboration
