**Educational Assistant**

**Full-Time Position**

This position is in a preschool setting. Applicants will be working children with a variety of speech/language levels in a fully inclusive setting. We believe there is a direct correlation between putting effort into building a community environment and the strong and positive effect has on each child to be their best and attain their potential. As a part of our team, you will be incorporated into this community in fostering language growth in combination with overall improvement of pre-literacy/numeracy.

**Specific duties may include**:

- Participate in the development of recommendations and/or programming suggestions to meet the child's individual needs, in conjunction with the family and child's program team;
- Working with the program staff to collect relevant data;
- Assisting in the implementation of the recommendations and/or programming suggestions;
- Providing individual or group activities with the child under the direction of the Speech Language Pathologist and Certified Teacher;
- Preparing materials and resources as needed for the individual child’s program and whole class programming, for the Speech Language Pathologists, Certified Teachers and for in-service training.
- Preparation for activities.

**Qualifications**:
Early Childhood Experience is an asset

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time
Part-time hours: 20-40 per week

**Salary**: From $20.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 4 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- No weekends

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Edmonton, AB: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Work Location: In person
