Edmonton, Canada Sturgeon School Division Full time

The Morinville Colony School provides programming to students in Kindergarten to Grade 9 for the Morinville Hutterite Brethren Colony. Constructed in 1999, as a collaborative project between the Colony and Sturgeon Public Schools, the two-room school is a source of considerable pride for the Colony. As a result, there is a strong community support for the school. Within the environment of the Hutterite culture, the school and the Colony work together to provide educational opportunities for the K-9 student population.

**FTE**: 1.0 FTE; 6.5 hrs/day; Monday to Friday; Full-Time Permanent

**Initial Assignment**: Under the direction of the classroom teacher, the Educational Assistant will work with various grades to support students.

**Qualifications & Experience**:Educational Assistant or Early Childhood Diploma or Certificate is required; experience working with Autistic children is an asset; CPR and First Aid are desirable. Preference given to applicants with experience and training with Autism, Behaviors and Non-Violent Crisis Intervention training. Equivalencies that consist of a combination of education, knowledge, skills and abilities to formal education requirements may be considered.

**Hourly Rate**: $18.82 - $23.57 per hour, as per the CUPE Collective Agreement.
