Lactalis is one of Canada’s leading producers of premium quality food products including milk, cheese and yogurt. We are currently recruiting for a Separator Operator to join our processing department in our production facility in Winchester, Ontario which produces butter, cheese, powder, and margarine.

**Position: Cutting Room Operator (Hourly, Unionized)**

**Shift: 8 or 10hour shifts with overtime pay and shift premiums**
**(Saturday’s x1.5 and Sunday’s double time)**

**Duties and Responsibilities Include**:

- Follow safety procedures and work in a safe manner (LOTO, PPE, Guarding, etc )
- Following the SOP of operation of cheese cutter, Swiss Vac, video jet printer, shrink tunnel, daily operation and calibration of metal detector
- Operation, cleaning maintenance of case packer
- Following the operation and calibration of Toledo scale
- Driving lift truck (having appropriate training and certification) according to SOP for racking of cheese
- Responsible for inventory count at the end of the day.
- Following PQMS of quality procedures of the department (ie. Product and packaging)
- Wash-up on a rotational basis
- Computer work involved - (SAP use)
- Following all proper health and safety procedures for the department
- Conduct Attendant and Entrant duties as needed
- Other duties as assigned.
- Completion of secondary school (OSSD or equivalent)
- Able to safely operate mechanical devices
- Ability to quickly identify and take action in a safe manner
- Ability to safely lift up to 40lbs
- Previous experience in manufacturing, particularly in food industry, is an asset
- Flexible availability for all shifts
- Must be available to workdays, nights and weekends
