**Chef / cook - Venus Bakery (Port Coquitlam, BC)**

**About Us**:
Venus Bakery is an exciting new bakery and café specializing in high-quality baked goods, pastries, smoothies, sandwiches, pizzas, focaccia sandwiches, salads, and bowls. We are looking for an experienced **Cook** to join our team and help prepare fresh, delicious meals while maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency in the kitchen.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Prepare and cook a variety of menu items, including sandwiches, pizzas, salads, and bowls.
- Assist in food prep, including chopping, portioning, and assembling ingredients.
- Ensure all dishes are made to order with consistency and attention to detail.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen at all times.
- Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
- Manage inventory and assist with restocking ingredients as needed.
- Work collaboratively with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during busy hours.

**Qualifications & Experience**:

- Previous experience as a **cook, line cook, or kitchen staff** in a restaurant, bakery, or café.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen operations.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high food quality standards.
- Food Safe Certification (or willingness to obtain).
