Waypoint Centre for Mental Health Care is a 315-bed academic and teaching hospital that provides specialized mental health, addiction and geriatric care. Located on the shores of Georgian Bay, we serve some of the most complex and disadvantaged individuals in Ontario and are the sole provider of high-secure forensic mental health services in the province.

Please Note: This position offers a hybrid work environment consisting of in-office and remote work. Office location is 500 Church St in Penetanguishene, ON

**KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES**:

- Represent the organization as a skilled consultant and change agent to facilitate the successful design, implementation, and adoption of complex, high-profile strategic projects.
- Lead the development of effective stakeholder engagement and communications, including facilitating diverse groups of internal and/or external stakeholders from organizations across the region and/or province.
- Ensure alignment to Waypoint’s strategic plan and key initiatives and provide strategic oversight and guidance to the governance established to oversee project deliverables.
- Oversee all elements of the project approach and plan development, as well as implement all necessary processes and practices to ensure the hospital is delivering project objectives and successfully achieving the project's goals.
- Lead the development and dissemination of project control documents, including status reports, risk/issue analyses, decision documents, reports, and project plans; keep stakeholders informed about progress and expected outcomes; and escalate issues as appropriate
- Foster an innovative, inclusive, and team-oriented work environment; provide effective coaching, motivation, and guidance while leading working groups throughout the project life cycle
- Demonstrate technical and professional knowledge of the healthcare industry.

**REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS**:

- An undergraduate degree is required, preferably a master’s level in public administration, business administration or healthcare administration, or equivalent experience;
- A suite of training/certification that includes more than one of project management, change management, quality improvement, experience-based design, and/or implementation science (completed or in progress)
- A minimum of 1-3 years experience in a similar role i.e. leading large, complex projects, in a hospital or other healthcare context.
- A history of progressive healthcare leadership experience, including project planning and implementation, risk management, quality improvement, and/or change management
- Experience leading diverse teams and managing project schedules, scope, and budgets using a variety of project and change management tools applicable to the healthcare context
- Demonstrated knowledge of project management framework (e.g., Project Management Institute) to ensure the achievement of key project milestones and the successful implementation and adoption of complex corporate initiatives.
- Demonstrated knowledge of change management frameworks (e.g. ADKAR) to support the people side of change throughout the project lifecycle.
- Proven research and analytical skills; strong team building, interpersonal, and facilitation skills
- Demonstrated presentation, communication, and business writing skills
- Proven ability to adapt readily to change with strong organizational and planning skills
- Results-oriented work ethic, works independently, undertakes tasks needed to accomplish work objectives, and delivers quality, consistent and timely results
- Models and promotes core ethical practice, Waypoint Values, and reflects an optimistic and positive attitude
- Proficiency in English language. Proficiency in French is considered an asset.
