**Position Summary**
We are looking for a Human Resources Manager, who is a true Generalist (internally known as the Manager, People & Culture) to join our team at Farber. The position will be based out of the Sheppard office and reports to the VP, People & Culture (P&C). The Human Resources Manager will be supporting all practice areas and teams across Eastern and Western Canada. The HR Manager will build strong partnerships with business leaders by providing guidance on HR-related matters. This is a hybrid role and weekly attendance at the office will be required.
**Major Responsibilities**
- Leadership in the ongoing monitoring, measurement and innovation of HR programs, processes, policies, and procedures and implementing changes to maximize effectiveness and efficiency.
- Management of employee relations issues and workplace investigations through processes and procedures that reflect best practices in dealing with confidential HR investigations, employee related issues, concerns, and conflicts.
- You will work with the Talent and Development (T&D) department/team to support and oversee the performance management system and the learning management system ensuring continuous improvement of employee performance and learning and the development of goals aligned with the organizational strategy.
- Management and successful execution of compensation strategy through market analysis, pay surveys and our annual salary review process, including all bonus plans and incentives.
- Working with the Senior Leadership team and the T&D team to support Change Management.
- Support development and implementation of forward looking key human resources performance indicators and metrics.
- You will support and work closely with the VP, on the annual Strategic initiatives and implementation.
- You will work closely with our Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist on the company branding, retention, and recruitment initiatives and support best practices in our industry.
- Work with the senior leadership team and the CEO on EDI initiatives and corporate social responsibility.
- You will be responsible for working with the VP and the Senior Generalist on the annual employee engagement survey and rolling out the result to leaders.
- You will support the VP and the senior Generalist in all the current benefit offerings and the role out of new ones and build relationships with the vendors.
- Responsible for coaching and mentoring the Senior Generalist, P&C in employment relations matters and providing learning opportunities for growth.
- Chair the Joint Health & Safety Committee and ensure related obligations are met provincially.
**Qualifications**
- An understanding and experience dealing with multiple acts and statutes, including but not limited to the Employment Standards Act, Occupational Health and Safety Act, Human Rights Code, and Pay Equity Act
- Experience and knowledge supporting other provinces throughout Canada regarding employment law.
- Certified by the Ministry of Labour in Joint Health and Safety Part 1 and part 2, with CPR
- Minimum of 7 years of previous HR Manager experience is required.
- Experience handling complex employment relations matters, including workplace investigations.
- Ability to secure, protect, and always maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to make independent decisions.
- Strategic planning experience with participation in year-end process.
- Excellent with numbers and in creating top quality reports.
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong comfort with technology with excellent knowledge of MS Office Applications (Excel,

**Education**
- Post -secondary degree in a human resources program, or business management preferred.
- CHRL preferred
